Autobody and Collision Repair Technician
Crown Autobody & Glass West
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
Potential Earnings: $70k-$140K (annually) based on the individual's qualifications and experience

We have a great opportunity for Autobody and Collision Technician to join our team at our Crown Autobody & Glass located on 3680 Portage Avenue. Crown Autobody & Glass is a state of the art autobody shop with all updated modern European equipment, specializing in import brands.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, quality, safety, completion and on-time delivery
- Performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
- Disassemble and reassemble necessary vehicle parts needed to complete the job.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, grind, and sand finished surfaces safely.
- Performing all body repairs to estimate.
- Performing welding, soldering, body alignment, and frame autobody repairs.
- Operating all equipment in the collision center in a safe and productive manner, following CAB safety standard for the use of personal protective equipment (eg: safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) while working on the production floor.
- Inspecting vehicles while work is being completed and after completion for quality assurance.
- Complies with all laws, regulations and bylaws regarding paints, thinners and other hazardous materials.
- Works with the other employees to repair and prepare vehicles.
- Sees to the cleanliness of the work space during and after the work is completed.
Requirements:
- Must have 2-5 years experience with autobody repairs or equal number of training at a collision centre
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management expertise.
- ICAR Certified (preferred) or interest in becoming certified
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive manual transmission
