Job description
We are looking for a Unit Manager (estimation) to join our growing team!
What you will accomplish:
- Direct and coordinate activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives for repairs performed by suppliers, in compliance with Intact's policies, standards and procedures;
- Act as a resource person by providing support to internal and external estimators, as well as to various Intact resources, to answer their questions;
- Ensure the training and technical support of its employees by keeping up to date on the software and techniques used;
- In collaboration with the experts, verify the subrogation files of other insurers and make the appropriate recommendations;
- Monitor the quality of estimates produced by all in-house estimators and body shops, ensuring compliance with policies and the application of standards and procedures, including those concerning customer service;
- Increase the efficiency of his/her sector by participating in the development of analyses and recommendations;
- Manage the activities of his/her team by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to budget, while promoting teamwork;
- Support our trusted network teams for complaints relating to estimates;
- Participate in various existing estimating committees and keep abreast of industry techniques.
What you will gain:
- 3 to 5 years of management experience, an asset;
- Knowledge of the estimating process and estimating software;
- Experience and demonstrated leadership success factors within Intact;
- Good analytical, synthesis and decision-making skills;
- Project management and change management skills;
- Ability to engage and mobilize team members;
- Ability to build relationships based on trust and collaboration.

Training
- College Diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience.
