Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and document job hazard assessments for production, maintenance & contractor activities in the plant
- Perform contractor safety audits; maintain & enhance Contractor Safety Program
- Conduct monthly inspections (eyewash, spill kits, first aid rooms)
- Update Physical Demands Descriptions (PDDs)
- Coordinate / deliver health & safety training, safety talks, EHS e-learning, etc.
- Develop safety talk eLearning modules
- Maintain and enhance EHS management system documentation
- Maintain the SDS inventory on Schaeffler's electronic database and in SDS binders; Generate GHS labels as required
- Implement EHS Visual Management improvements in the plant
- Assist with other EHS projects, reporting & administrative tasks as required
Your Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma (or working towards) in Occupational Health & Safety, Kinesiology or related discipline
- Previous EHS experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Must have knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations; Sound knowledge of hazardous waste disposal and waste reduction practices is beneficial
- Comfortable developing EHS materials as well as presenting individually or to a group
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and perform effectively in fast-paced environment is essential
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Solid training and coaching skills along with strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable navigating online platforms and utilizing Microsoft Office applications
- Abiity to stand and walk continuously
