Inside the Role
The Fleet Credit Manager is responsible for all aspects of DTF commercial retail and lease acquisitions for corporate business customers within Canada. Approving and recommending credit files within defined Limits of Authority. Coach and mentor both fleet credit analysts and small business analysts in their personal development while ensuring integrity and consistency of credit adjudication is maintained. Ensure compliance with global and local policies while identifying and recommending/implementing process improvements to improve efficiencies. Establish and maintain strong relationships with DTF Sales Team and Dealer Network to assist with profitable growth in the portfolio.

What You Drive at DTFS
- Provide direct supervision to 5 full time staff and 1 interns Responsibilities include goal setting, measuring performance towards targets, providing regular feedback and coaching to develop employees to top performance and completing and delivering performance reviews.
- Develops and defines realistic and comprehensive strategy for their area of responsibility including staffing, scheduling and assigning workload.
- Financial review and preparation of large fleet customer files which includes communication with both the Sales Team and Corporate Customers to optimize credit packages for approval in order to support Portfolio Growth.
- Ensure department is functioning with parameters for all documented policies and procedures (both Global and Local). Ensure internal assessments such as audits, quality audits, reporting are completed in a timely manner. Recommend/Implement Process improvements to maximize efficiencies.
- Ensure operational targets are met including tracking goal achievement using KPI's to measure progress and steer towards implementation.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- High School Diploma
- Two years of general business experience required
- One year of credit experience required
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Bachelor's Degree with focus in business, business administration, accounting or finance.
- Two years of commercial lending experience in the transportation (specifically trucking) industry preferred
- Experience in Finance and Accounting preferred
