  • Fleet Vehicle Inspection and Certification: Oversee the final inspection process for fleet vehicles, ensuring all repairs and maintenance meet rigorous safety and performance standards before vehicles are certified for service.
  • Mentorship and Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics, including Mechanic III and Mechanic II team members. Mentor and help develop their skills to uphold high standards of workmanship.
  • Innovate and Adapt: Stay updated with industry advancements and integrate new technologies into your work. Contribute to setting the standard for maintenance practices, including those related to electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL:

  • Tool Proficiency: Proficiency with shop tools, diagnostic devices, and equipment for assembly and repairs.
  • Certification: Certified Truck & Coach Technician (310T), or currently pursuing certification, Red Seal Preferred. Additional certifications related to electric vehicles or advanced diagnostics are beneficial.
  • Customer Service Skills: High level of professionalism with strong customer service skills, capable of interacting positively with clients.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: High problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational Skills: High organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed reports and logs.
