310T Truck & Coach Technician & Apprentice

Location:

2138 Eagle St N, Cambridge, Ontario

Position Type:

Full-time- Permanent- Afternoon Shift

Reporting:

Shop Foreperson

Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm to 1:00am

Friday, 3:00pm to 10:00pm
Rate:
$41.05 plus $2.12 shift premium per hour (Licensed)

We are looking for a highly capable 310T Truck & Coach Technician & Apprentice to be located out of our Cambridge Shop, in Cambridge, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

In the position of 310T Truck & Coach Technician & Apprentice. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • The service and repair of all Company vehicles to ministry standards and Miller Waste standards.
  • Will be required to repair and road test equipment, including hydraulics and electrical, as well as shop maintenance.
  • Will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct on-road service calls, as required.


Requirements: 
 

  • Successful candidates must possess and keep valid their licences including a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's Licence and/or be enrolled into one Skilled Trades of Ontario schools.
  • Must have at least a valid 'G' Driver's Licence.
  • You will have ability to diagnose and rectify faults, as well as experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key as well as working in a team environment.
  • You must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
