Job Description
The Fleet Software Group is responsible for the design and support of the Fleet Manager and software applications that allow our users to work with, monitor, and support their fleets of OTTO Autonomous Vehicles. This involves participation in the entire product workflow, from customer insight gathering, problem definition, solution proposals, application design and support. Looking for someone to develop automated test suites for web applications managing Fleets of virtual or physics simulated autonomous vehicles. You will work with other members of the test, continuous integration, simulation & Fleet software development teams and many other groups within OTTO Motors, to provide awesome solutions to the problems our customers need to solve with their fleets of autonomous materials transport vehicles. You will report to Test Manager, Fleet Software. The job location is Kitchener, ON.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design test campaigns and document test results.
- Complete tests for full system, component, simulation and performance.
- Capture issues and artifacts, establishing a feedback loop back into development.
- Support continuous integration tools, and infrastructure.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development or test automation in an enterprise environment.
- Diagnose and narrow down the source of issues.
- Understand web technologies and concepts such as REST API, WebSockets, client-side rendering.
- Work with Linux/Ubuntu based environments and scripting (bash, python).
- Use continuous integration (Jenkins, gitlab ci) and source control (git).
- Experience with OPC-UA and tools such as FactoryTalk Optix for industrial automation.
- Exposure to container orchestration & tooling (.e.g Kubernetes, Helm).
- Working in a collaborative environment, working with other team members regularly, sharing knowledge through diagram, discussion, and example.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience with web development technologies (React/Redux, npm, webpack).
- Exposure to databases (Postgres).
- Exposure to ROS / Robotics Systems.
- A memorable story on breaking software.
