Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician

We are currently seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team at our fully equipped Edmonton facility. Key Responsibilities:
 

• Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on various types of heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, trucks, and pumps.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on heavy equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
• Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice technicians.
• Maintain organized workspaces and ensure tools are safe and in working condition.
• Promote and enforce adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager to prioritize repair orders based on company demands.

Requirements
 

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (Red Seal) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment.
• Strong experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Comfortable using technology and work order software.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the heavy equipment industry.
• Experience with CVIP inspections is an asset.
