We are currently seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team at our fully equipped Edmonton facility. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on various types of heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, trucks, and pumps.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on heavy equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation of maintenance and repair activities.
- Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice technicians.
- Maintain organized workspaces and ensure tools are safe and in working condition.
- Promote and enforce adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to prioritize repair orders based on company demands.
Requirements
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (Red Seal) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment.
- Strong experience with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Comfortable using technology and work order software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the heavy equipment industry.
- Experience with CVIP inspections is an asset.
