The Canada Customs Operations Specialist will be primarily responsible for the movement of parts, equipment, and vehicles across borders, managing salaried bargaining unit employees, administering other programs related to the movement of parts, equipment and vehicles across borders and support the Canada Customs Manager to ensure minimal customs risk related to CBSA Regulations and Programs.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Management with Security (PIP) - Maintain PIP Portal Account for FCA Canada, FCAT and ATS and ensure "Security Profiles" are up to date as well as support CBSA reviews of facilities when requested
- Ensure a secure International Supply Chain by supporting the U.S. team in working with Suppliers to get their C-TPAT or PIP validation
- Movement of Parts and Vehicles across borders -- Ensure that the company has a robust CSA Program which simplifies border requirements around customs release, customs accounting and compliance initiatives
- Train staff, carriers and internal / external stakeholders on proper use of CSA release privileges
- Review / Improve monthly metrics of CSA releases and alternate releases (A49 and PARS)
- Emergency after hours contact for plants and service providers to ensure expedited release
- Support the Canada Customs Specialist in ensuring the applicable legislation and regulatory framework administered by CBSA and other participating Government Agencies are met
- Manage Export related activities including CERS and Summary Reporting
- Manage Service providers to ensure compliant processes and data
- Manage CSA Platinum Annual audit
- Generate reports for Internal and External Stakeholders
- Manage the Month end RSF Close
- Work with internal/external ICT groups to ensure data feeds are compliant with CBSA Regulations and programs

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum FIVE (5) years of Customs experience and associated Supply Chain
- Certified Customs Specialist or Licensed Broker designation
- Thorough understanding of CSA (Customs Self-Assessment)
- Knowledge of the new Customs Accounting System CARM
- Management disciplines
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
