NATURE OF THE JOB :

The mechanic is a shop technician who maintains (tire pressure, oil changes, parts inspection, oil analysis, etc.) and repairs vehicles. The mechanic prevents breakdowns, diagnoses them, makes adjustments, repairs, reassembles defective parts, and carries out road tests.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DESCRIPTIONS:

- Inspects vehicles and establishes a diagnosis of all repairs to be carried out based on the results of the preventive inspection, customer information and/or that of the technical advisor.
- Adjusts, repairs or replaces defective vehicle parts according to professional work methods and standards.
- Informs the technical advisor of any additional problems detected during repair.
- Performs periodic vehicle maintenance, road tests and completes required reports.
- Cooperates in changing, calibrating, aligning, fitting and handling tires.
- Maintains work area and equipment.
- Ensures compliance with the OHS prevention plan and identifies any potential hazards in the workplace.
- Takes the time to explain operations performed, the general condition of the vehicle and upcoming repairs.
- Pays particular attention to the vehicles entrusted to him/her.
- Performs any other duties related to his/her function as requested by his/her superior.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar tasks;
- Class 5 driver's licence (license status will be verified prior to hiring);
- Customer focus and satisfaction, thoroughness and team spirit;
- Sense of planning and organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Full-time position - 40 hours;
- Compensation commensurate with experience;
- Ongoing training offered by the manufacturer;
