What you will do:

In the position of 310T Truck & Coach Technician, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

 

  • Completing service, maintenance and repairs of all Company vehicles to both Ministry and Company standards and procedures.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Repairing waste vehicles and trucks, including troubleshooting of hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Completing road tests on serviced vehicles/equipment.
  • Completing work orders with on hand tools and equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting manufacturer/operator manuals.
  • Maintaining all service records and files for vehicle maintenance.
  • Responding to "on-road" service calls, as required.
  • Completing preventative vehicle maintenance according to established MWSI policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that all equipment, vehicles and work areas comply with safety policies and regulations at all times.
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned.


What you should have:

 

  • A safety-first attitude with a familiarity of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and your responsibilities within it.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Have and maintain a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's licence, along with any other required licenses.
  • And maintain a minimum 'G' Driver's Licence
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • A team mindset and work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility with scheduling as delays in the truck schedule may require you to work outside regular scheduled hours and on rare occasions, weekend work.
