To support our development, we are looking for a passionate and rigorous Financial Controller to join our team and actively contribute to the financial management of our expanding company.
Brief job description:
- Lead financial planning and accounting practices, as well as dealings with lending institutions, shareholders and the financial community;
- Report regularly on the accurate financial position of the entire organization;
- Develop control systems that enable the efficient operation of the business;
- Maintain accurate records.
Administrative duties:
- Control and direct company activities such as cash flow, auditing of books, purchasing, fixed assets and insurance;
- Prepare weekly employee payroll;
- Maintain close ties with the accounting firm to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and maintenance of the company's financial structure, enabling maximum tax benefits;
- Support the directors in managing cash flow, monitoring contracts in progress and accounts receivable;
- At the request of the directors, act as their representative;
- Prepare detailed monthly financial statements as directed by the directors and in accordance with the schedule and format required by the builder;
- Ensure that all builder accounts are up to date and accurate, including warranty claims, discounts, interest protection and group advertising;
- Regularly analyze financial statements and daily operating control;
- Approve credits for the opening of accounts receivable;
- Establish an account collection policy and oversee the follow-up of accounts receivable;
- Maintain an effective cash management system that forecasts liquidity and makes recommendations on the cost-effective use of excess cash;
- Analyze the general ledger and registered accounts, noting any unusual entries;
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations relating to finance, including forms to be filled out or retained, commodity taxes and deposits, income taxes, pension plan records, etc.; - Ensure that all employees are aware of the company's financial and accounting policies. Ensure that all office staff use proper accounting methods and maintain accurate records;
- Analyze and oversee the preparation of all data for public accountants to reduce audit or review costs;
- Approve adjustments to inventory accounts.
Tasks related to human resources management:
- Manage employee benefit programs;
- Maintain company employee files;
- Supervise pension plan maintenance, minimally an RVER.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controller in the automotive field;
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting;
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills;
- General computer proficiency;
- Team management experience;
- Ability to be organized and rigorous.
