As the Fleet Supervisor for CAA Niagara, you will lead with our values of integrity, teamwork, service excellence and respect & inclusivity and are accountable for quality, operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest level of member satisfaction. You will report to the Emergency Roadside Services (ERS), Associate Director, who partners with the Contact Centre Supervisor and Fleet Garage Manager to ensure a collaborative approach to service excellence and teamwork. 

Passionate with delivering rewarding member experiences, you are responsible for the daily performance of the ERS Drivers.

REQUIREMENTS: 

To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to: 
 

  • A minimum of two (2) years supervising a team, preferably within a fleet, transportation or logistics operation, with proven ability to manage the team.
  • Skills: You must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead with courage. Strong conflict resolution skills, you would showcase robust communication skills, orally and written, with the ability to connect with employees and facilitate the collaboration of cross-functional groups.
  • With a level of administration, you must possess sound knowledge of the full Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Characteristics: This is an integral position within a busy, 24/7 operation - you will be agile, flexible and resilient to change and have the ability to make quick decisions without all the facts immediately in front of you. A team player, you recognize that your first team is your peers and of creating a strong connection to deliver on the same goal: Member and Employee Satisfaction.
  • Mandatory Requirements: Must have valid 'G' license ('D' an asset), clear drivers abstract, clear background check with the ability to obtain annual towing license from regulatory bodies and valid passport with the ability to cross Canada/US border.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

As CAA Niagara's Fleet Supervisor, you will be supporting the daily management of a team of ERS Drivers, including but not limited to the following: 
 

  • Lead with strength, fairness and integrity to a team of ERS Drivers
  • Maintain Health & Safety standards, placing an emphasis on a safety-first culture and enforcing all regulations or internal best practices around safety and compliance.
  • Coach and Develop employees with a focus on meeting daily, weekly, monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Discipline Management where necessary, ensuring a performance-driven workforce and accountability across the team.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture.Lead by example and continually seek for opportunities to enhance the connection of drivers to the organization.
  • Schedules & Payroll Data. Ensuring shifts are covered, including vacations, time aways, OT and auditing and approving all time entries within Payroll System for accurate pay to employees.
  • Quality Assurance initiatives, including audits, spot checks, ride longs to ensure an aligned and consistent fleet.
  • Operational Excellence. Collaboration with ERS Management team to contribute to the operational success of the ERS Department as a whole.
