Toyota & Tractor Mechanic (Mine)

Reporting to Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidates' primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
 

• Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of Tractor configurations;
• Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize reliability;
• Adhering to and promoting all safety policies, procedures and systems;
• Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment;
• Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems;
• As priorities permit and on the aptitude of the tradesperson, exposure will be given to a range of mining equipment providing an opportunity to develop skills in support HD mechanic licensing;
• This role is considered a feeder position to fill general shop maintenance activities.

 
Requirements:
 

• A valid mechanic licence (Automotive Service Technician, Truck & Coach Technician, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician); in the absence of licenced mechanics, qualified apprentices may be considered
• Preference to individuals with minimum two (2) years' experience;
• A motivated and dynamic approach to getting tasks complete, and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship;
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions
• Strong ability to work under minimal supervision;
• Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering, and management;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement;
• Familiarity/experience with tractor vehicles in an underground environment would be considered an asset.

 
Schedule: 5/5/4 with rotating day and night shifts (Kidd Operations reserves the right to modify working schedules as necessary, in accordance with applicable notice requirements and labor regulations.)
