Within the Wind River Operating System team, we work on projects that deliver mission critical, robust, and deterministic Real Time Operation Systems suitable for a wide variety of mission critical applications including the aerospace and automotive industry. We are looking for experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these technologies.
Who You Will Work With:
The successful candidate will join a highly skilled "VxWorks653" development team delivering mission critical Real-Time Operating System for avionics and automotive applications.
The focus of this role is to support the VxWorks653 product as well as providing certification oversight to sub-contractors on the Helix Virtualization Platform product.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high quality design and code.
- Develop and deliver high quality documentation used for DO-178 certification evidence.
- Ability to review DO-178 artifacts and provide guidance to conform to Certification standards
- Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.
- Participate in all aspects of the software development process using Agile development.
- Auditing certification work performed by sub-contractors.
Qualifications/Skills:
- BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree).
- 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in software development.
- Strong analytical skills in the C programming language.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent programming skills using Python and Linux shells scripts.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Experience with RTOS software development a plus.
- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environments.
- Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.
- Familiarity with iterative and agile/scrum software development processes.
- Certification experience is a plus.
- PPC/ARM/Intel/RISC-V SoC Experience is a plus.
- Experience with Virtualization is advantageous.
