Job Summary/Objective

Serves as a key member of cross-functional teams supporting a portfolio of applications. Works closely with talented teams to promote Agile methodologies and support them in understanding Agile theory, practices, rules, and values. Guides teams through their workflows to maximize value delivery and help them make effective decisions. Determines and implements organizational improvements to enhance team collaboration and performance. Inspires teams to develop self-awareness and foster a learning culture that enables continuous growth on their Agile journey.

Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)
 

  1. Works with three teams responsible for coding, validation, debugging, reliability, performance analysis, and ongoing operations within an Agile environment.
  2. Determines and implements organizational improvements to boost team collaboration and overall performance.
  3. Coaches and guide teams toward self-organization and cultivates a collaborative culture that values problem-solving, constructive feedback, and healthy tension.
  4. Supports teams in creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done (DoD).
  5. Identifies and removes obstacles that hinder team progress.
  6. Leads Agile program events and fosters collaboration between teams and stakeholders.
  7. Ensures teams remain focused on quality and continuous delivery.
  8. Stays informed about emerging Agile practices and propose innovations.



Education

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Computer Science, Technology, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.

Experience, Skills and Key Competencies

At least 6 years of experience as a Scrum Master within cross-functional Agile teams, with a work background that includes a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices with a demonstrated ability to apply them effectively, experience with scaling frameworks such as LeSS, Scrum at Scale, or SAFe, as well as experience using Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira, and prior experience working with teams across different time zones.

Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
 

  • Strong negotiation skills, with a readiness to both challenge and be challenged.
  • Can effectively organize and manage day-to-day work and priorities, and use time, energy and resources to meet goals, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Able to communicate in a respectful, positive and constructive manner, even during times of challenge and frustration.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, and can easily adjust to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.
  • Able to effectively work and thrive in a remote/hybrid work environment that has limited opportunities for in-person interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills and can tailor messaging to a specific audience/situation.
  • Comfortable providing coaching, guidance and feedback to peers.
