We're looking for an experienced mechanic. Join our team that services around 350 new vehicles and over 400 pre-owned vehicles per year!

Responsibilities :

At Lachute Subaru, the technician plays an essential role in our small, collaborative team. Despite everyone's specializations, we believe in teamwork where all tasks are shared and performed collectively to ensure efficient, quality service while maintaining motivation.

Advanced diagnosis and repair:

- Diagnose complex problems using computer and electronic tools;
- Repair mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle components;
- Perform major repairs such as transmission, engine, differential, etc.

Maintenance and inspection :

- Perform periodic maintenance (oil change, brakes, suspension, tire installation, etc.);
- Perform inspections in connection with manufacturer warranties and recalls;
- Inspect used vehicles.

Technical support and communication :

- Open tickets to the manufacturer's technical line to report and resolve complex problems;
- Write QMRs (Quality Mechanical Reports) to document anomalies and help improve vehicles;
- Act as a technical reference for less experienced mechanics;
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior mechanics;
- Communicate with parts and service departments to ensure efficient repair;
- Read service bulletins on a daily basis, ongoing training mandatory.

Compliance with standards and safety :

- Apply manufacturer's standards and repair procedures;
- Comply with safety and environmental regulations;
- Accurately document work performed in vehicle records.

Requirements :

- Valid driver's licence;
- Subaru experience (an asset).

- DVS in automotive mechanics or equivalent experience;
