Vice President of Finance / Controller

Job description:

Reporting to the President of Groupe Autoforce, the Vice President Finance / Controller will be responsible for the financial management of Groupe Autoforce and the accounting operations of three of our dealerships.

S/he will lead a team of three controllers and several accounting professionals, ensuring rigorous controls, compliance with legal obligations and continuous improvement of the Group's financial performance.

Main responsibilities:

- Manage and optimize Groupe Autoforce's finances
- Ensure cash and liquidity management
- Manage relations with banks, investors, auditors, etc.
- Oversee tax planning, compliance and risk management
- Negotiate and manage contractual purchases such as group insurance and fire and theft insurance
- Ensure legal compliance, including Bill 25 and francization of companies

- Work closely with the executive team and management to maximize the financial performance of our concessions
- Supervise concession controllers and ensure consistency of processes

As Controller of three of our dealerships, the jobholder will also:

- Supervise and mentor a team of 5 Accounting Clerks
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including month and year ends, accounting entries, invoicing and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and operational reports
- Develop and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance and asset protection

Profile:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller (car dealership experience a major asset)
- Experience in treasury and financial risk management
- Excellent command of accounting and IT tools
- Strong team spirit and excellent communication skills
- Experience in team management
- Degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Bilingualism (French and English)
