Position: Pre-Owned Buyer
Salary: $45,000 - $100,000 (Salary + Bonuses)
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Classification: Full-Time, Immediate Hire

Position Overview:
The Pre-Owned Vehicle Buyer is responsible for overseeing the performance of the pre-owned vehicle sales department, ensuring financial objectives, inventory management, and customer satisfaction are consistently met. This individual will drive sales through strategic planning, organization, and effective management of the department's activities, while also prioritizing employee retention and development.
Job Description:
- Manage departmental expense and revenue objectives.
- You will be expected to accomplish sales objectives through planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the activities of the pre-owned vehicle sales department.
- Focus on employee retention and employee development practices.
- Effectively manage a large pre-owned vehicle inventory
- Achieve monthly and quarterly pre-owned vehicle sales objectives including certified pre-owned.
- Support Certified Manufacturer certified pre-owned Programs
- Achieve planned unit sales volume by offering balanced and representative used vehicle inventories.
- Responsible for appraising, reconditioning, displaying, wholesaling and merchandising the product.
- Achieve profit goals by developing and meeting levels of gross profit per unit.
- Ensure proper usage of all software, to include website (pricing), vAuto, KBB, and CARFAX.
- Ensure vendor/partner maintains high picture quality and rapid time-to-market digital representation.
- Support sales associates in helping set and achieve goals
- Maintain a high level of compliance with all Federal and State laws affecting pre-owned vehicle sales.
- Monitor and maintain departmental customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of Sales Manager experience in a car dealership
- Must have a sound understanding of current pre-owned vehicle market and pricing.
- Proficiency in industry software tools such as vAuto, KBB, CARFAX, and online inventory platforms.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state laws regarding vehicle sales and compliance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage a large inventory effectively.
