We are looking for a passionate Fleet and Logistics Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will join a team responsible for the day-to-day management of all inbound, outbound and reverse logistics, and for the maintenance and safety of our nation-wide fleet of trucks and vans. Based at our head office in Courtice, ON, our Logistics Team serves as a center of excellence, supporting teams across 20 operating sites from coast to coast.

You Are:
- A logistics professional with initiative, energy, and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Experienced in fleet and logistics management, and/or the automotive industry.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook), and familiarity with fleet management software would be an asset.
- Solid verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Capable of critical thinking, identifying trends, resolving issues, and proposing recommendations.
- Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional with a strong customer-focused attitude, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
What You'll Be Doing:
Fleet Management
- Organize and manage the fleet preventative maintenance program, including safety inspections and tire changes, to ensure operational safety and minimize the lifetime cost of the vehicles.
- Respond to breakdowns and unscheduled repairs, coordinating with drivers and Operations teams to promptly schedule recovery and repair.
- Manage business continuity, minimizing vehicle downtime and arranging rental vehicles when necessary.
- Liaise with repair shops to negotiate and approve repair estimates.
Logistics Coordination
- Schedule inbound freight, selecting appropriate carriers, producing BOL's, arranging pick-up and delivery.
- Outbound freight, selection of carriers and fleet vehicles, providing freight quotes for specific jobs.
- In transit tracking, providing POD's, and rapid support for transportation incidents and delays.
Reporting, Analysis and Master Data
- Maintain accurate records in our GPS, fleet management and fuel card systems.
- Analyze carrier performance and fleet utilization, highlighting areas of concern and opportunity.
Cost Management
- Monitor cost KPI's and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Execute cost reduction projects in conjunction with team members.
Safety & Compliance
- Monitor daily truck inspection reports and take appropriate action depending on the severity of the reported fault.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and safety certified.
- Ensure all shipping documentation complies with all applicable transportation regulations, customs requirements and health & safety protocols.
What You Bring:
- Post-secondary education in Business/logistics or a related program, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the automotive industry and/or fleet/logistics function.
- Demonstrated business acumen and a strong customer-focused attitude.
