Salary Range: $ 35.00 to $40.00 Annually
Licensed Truck Technician
Schedule: Weekend shift
- 12 Hour shift
- Friday - Sunday
- 6:30 am - 7:00 pm
This position is permanent full-time and subject to a modified work schedule based on operational demand.
Technician Benefits:
- Hourly Rate Range: $35.00 - $40.00
- Additional hourly premiums available: $2.50 (Weekend shift)
- $3,000.00 Sign-on bonus program * Terms and conditions apply to be eligible for the signing bonus
- $500.00 Tool and PPE allowance (Annually)
- $300.00 Boot allowance (Annually)
- 25-40 hours of annual training and supports education reimbursement
- Referral bonus program * Terms and conditions apply to be eligible for the referral bonus
- Enrollment in the Provincial Apprenticeship program & reimbursement of the cost (tuition & supplies) of school for successful candidates.
Qualifications:
- Licensed (310T) with 5-7 years' experience
- Able to support a variety of OEs, including Peterbilt, Mack, Volvo, Kenworth, International and Freightliner
- Previous experience and qualification to perform Safety inspections are mandatory
Full job description
The Truck Technicians will work in conjunction with the Service Writer and other Technicians to complete preventive maintenance and repairs on TransX-owned tractors and our Owner-Operator fleets in a timely and efficient manner.
This involves:
- System diagnostic (Ability to use OE diagnostic systems)
- Providing accurate estimates of repair for customer approval
- Perform safety inspections (DriveON)
- Performing quality preventive maintenance service and inspections
- Minimizing come-back repairs (Right repair the first time)
- Providing corrective and/or improvement maintenance feedback
- Training, coaching, and mentoring apprentices (Considered an asset)
