*This is classified as a hybrid role. The role does not require an employee to be on-site full-time, but the expectation is that the employee be on-site three (3) days a week at the Oshawa office of General Motors of Canada Company.*

The Marketing Communications Manager - Buick GMC supports the Canadian Buick/GMC Marketing team by executing strong insight-driven and data-based communication solutions for the Canadian market. The key focus of the role is the execution of go-to-market communication plans across the entire brand portfolio, including new product launches and sustain campaigns for both Brand and Retail efforts. Areas of responsibility include:
 

  • Collaborate on Brand and Nameplate campaigns across all channels
  • Contribute to seeding the accurate brand message integration between all internal and external stakeholders including Regional Sales Teams, PR, agencies, CX etc.
  • Monitoring Key competitors communications and positioning
  • Development of Social Brand Campaigns
  • Manage Brand Guidelines
  • Manage approval process for all customer facing assets
  • Coordinate consolidate feedback and perspectives of brand teams and leadership
  • Point of contact for inquiries from the Field Teams
  • Ensure that all creative marketing materials adhere to strict brand guidelines across tiers
  • Maintain and update Marketing Hub
  • Build and maintain relationships both internally and externally i.e.; CRM, agencies, U.S. and Global GM partners, etc.
  • Manage new vehicle launches across all channels
  • Develop Client Input Briefs that outline Marketing and Communication objectives to initiate new projects with Agency Partners
  • Collaborate with the US on go-to-market plans for new product launches
  • Contribute to the strategy and planning for annual Agency brief

Background/Experiences
 

  • Post Secondary education required
  • Experience working at or closely alongside a Creative Agency is a significant asset
  • Marketing communications experience (brand, retail, advertising)
  • Ability to travel across Canada for various events
  • Product knowledge considered an asset
  • Bilingual considered an asset
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
