We are looking for a talented, motivated, results-oriented and enthusiastic person and are hiring a Casual Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in the Guelph Wellington area (i.e. Guelph, Fergus, Mt Forest, Harriston, and Erin)

A "Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator" is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of a company's fleet of vehicles, including scheduling preventative maintenance, managing repairs, tracking vehicle history, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating with vendors and mechanics to keep the fleet running smoothly. 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop and manage a preventative maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles based on manufacturer recommendations and usage patterns .
  • Advise manager of major repair requests
  • Coordinate and prioritize vehicle repairs, obtain quotes, and monitor repair progress.
  • Conduct random vehicle inspections to identify safety or mechanical issues.
  • Repair Minor issues (i.e. windshield wiper replacement)
  • Manage fleet data, track fuel consumption, and monitor vehicle performance.
  • Establish relationships with service vendors and negotiate pricing and contracts.
  • Educate drivers on vehicle operation and maintenance procedures to minimize wear and tear
  • Assist with the development and management of the fleet maintenance budget.
  • Advise manager of major repair requests


Required Skills:
 

  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Proficiency in fleet management and tracking systems.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with mechanics and drivers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Flexible and have the ability to work between 4 - 10 hours a week


Experience:
 

  • 5+ years in a vehicle repair/maintenance role.
