Job description
The Auto Parts Counter Attendant works in a fast-paced environment and supports certified auto mechanics in finding and supplying the right parts for auto repairs. This role includes using a computerized auto parts system to estimate repairs, order parts, and control and maintain inventory.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Car Center team maximizes the customer experience by providing the right auto parts in a timely manner;
- Process parts and tire requests from certified auto mechanics;
- Communicate with the Car Center Manager, technical advisors, certified auto mechanics and installers;
- Procure and order automotive parts, shop supplies and products from authorized suppliers;
- Maintain and control inventory accuracy;
- Check and fill batteries, check starters and alternators;
- Stock shelves in display areas;
- Process returns, warranties and consignments as required;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements / skills:
- No experience required! - We'll give you all the training you need! All you need is a passion for cars;
- Knowledge of current automotive mechanics and technology;
- Customer-oriented;
- Ability to perform physical efforts, including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying merchandise, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching;
- Strong computer skills;
- Ability to plan and organize daily tasks;
- Ability to work shifts (day, evening, weekends and holidays);
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and deal with difficult situations and make decisions;
- High school diploma (an asset);
- Knowledge of the Costar automotive parts search system (an asset).
