Job description
Mandate:
- Install, repair, troubleshoot and repair assets (mechanical and hydraulic equipment, air conditioning systems, mobile pneumatics, etc.);
- Track maintenance and repair needs for heavy equipment, light vehicles and other SDBJ equipment;
- Provide and manage data for processing work orders, inventories, equipment repair records in the management platform;
- Writes maintenance reports, updates inventory data and places parts orders;
- Operates snow removal equipment;
- Perform all other related tasks as required.
Working conditions and benefits:
- Permanent, full-time position with a schedule of 5 days of work followed by 2 days off at a rate of 10 hours of work per day;
- Hourly wage between $28.04 and $35.23;
- Regional disparity and additional annual bonus of $11,021 (without dependents) and $17,877 (with dependents);
- Comprehensive benefits plan (vacation, pension, group insurance, 14 statutory holidays, 10 days' absence due to illness or family obligations, 2 floating days, reimbursement of physical activity expenses, training, etc.);
- Reimbursement of moving expenses.
Necessary skills and abilities:
- Two (2) to less than three (3) years of experience;
- Knowledge of repair and maintenance of light and heavy gasoline and diesel vehicles and major systems;
- Have a practical understanding of hydraulics and transmission ratios;
- Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints and technical drawings;
- Knowledge of diagnostics and ability to carry out technical research on computer;
- Possess a Class 5 driver's licence; Class 1 will be considered an asset.

Training
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in heavy machinery mechanics or any combination of training or experience deemed equivalent.
