Our total compensation package offers health, dental, EFAP, vision and life insurance. A qualified Body Shop Prepper wage starts at from $22.80 up to $38.00 (based on training, certificates and related experience)
The Role:
Body Prepping - 90% of your time is spent here
- Obtain repair orders from the Body Shop Manager and take to stall area.
- Inspect of projects prior to refinishing to ensure all prep and repair work is complete.
- Apply masking to the bumpers, windows, and trim for primer preparation.
- Prepare the vehicle for paint sanding, taping, and applying primer
- Clean and smooth surfaces before the application of primer and paint
- Detailing of paint work such as unmasking, inspection, touch ups, buffing and minor reassembly.
- Execute minor body work and priming.
Other duties - 10% of your time is spent here
- Attend factory-sponsored training sessions.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education/Certification
- Journeyman Autobody Red Seal certified (preferred)
- Valid Driver's licence with no restrictions
- Clean Driver's Abstract
Experience
- 2 years experience in Heavy Duty Truck vehicle repair.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
