Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our Calgary team, specializing in light- and heavy-duty trucks including half-ton, three-quarter-ton, and one-ton trucks. This is a Monday to Friday position with hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with rental fleets and is confident performing a wide range of maintenance and mechanical tasks from oil changes to engine work. Responsibilities

 

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various trucks
• Conduct oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and full engine work as needed
• Maintain rental fleet vehicles to meet safety and performance standards
• Accurately document work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports
• Ensure shop tools and equipment are used and maintained properly
• Collaborate with other team members to prioritize work and meet timelines

Requirements

 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive service, ideally with trucks and fleet vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot independently
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and quality
• Strong initiative and able to work constructively under pressure

Conditions of Employment

 

• Journeyman Automotive Technician certification is preferred but not required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with vehicles, preferably with trucks and fleet vehicles
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Clean driver's abstract required upon employment

Pay Range: $32-35/hr
