(CAN) Manager, Dedicated Fleet

Position Summary...
Reporting to the Regional Director, the dedicated fleet manager is responsible for the management of Walmart Canada's contracted dedicated carrier. The primary responsibility is to ensure Walmart Canada's dedicated carriers delivers on our strategy by delivering Walmart's competitive carrier position (costs, depth, breadth and service levels). 

What you'll do...

1. Total Dedicated Carrier Management - with over $250 million in spend and almost 250K inbound and outbound loads a year, the manager is responsible for identifying, prospecting, sourcing, contracting a well-rounded, cost-effective carrier base with a high level of service based on the business needs for Walmart Canada.

2. Monitor carrier compliance including cost certainty, level of service, safety, sustainability, claims, freight program support & carrier EDI. Hold carrier accountable to defined KPI's. 

3. Communicate and manage dedicated carrier outbound truckload forecast and performance to defined activity levels. Manage associated weekly billing activities. Weekly meetings with dedicated carrier to review KPIs, capacity allotments and overall serviceability, ensuring dedicated carrier meeting weekly demand expectations and minimizing tender rejections. 

4. Negotiate with the dedicated carrier senior management on new inbound and outbound lanes and opportunities via phone, face-to-face or team scenarios.

5. Carrier development with new opportunities through reporting, systems changes and implementations or conflict resolution. 6. In conjunction with Regional Directors develop strategies for service level improvements through carrier score carding, trend analysis and market opportunities.
