Position: Apprentice Automotive Technician - Level 1/2

Classification: Full Time, Onsite

In the Apprentice/ Lube Technician role, you will play a crucial role in terms of the customer experience in conducting maintenance procedures to determine vehicle repair requirements and providing accurate recommendations to our customers.

Job Responsibilities: 
 

  • Performs Oil & filter change
  • Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicle & check & mark all required items on check list as required & present findings to the Service Advisor
  • Diagnose issues such as noises, leaks, etc.
    Perform vehicle repairs/parts replacement if qualified
  • Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replaces or replenishes as necessary
  • Lubricates moving parts with specified lubricants
  • Tire mounting/balancing, rotations and repairs
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
  • Documents all work performed on the repair order
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager
  • Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean
  • Notifies Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Other tasks as assigned


Requirements: 
 

  • Level 1 or 2 Apprentice training
  • Familiarity working with ADP and CDK programs is considered an asset
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and ability to use power and hand-held equipment
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Must possess a valid PROVINCE driver's license and a safe driving history
