Opportunity:

Toromont Cat is looking for a Technical Recruiter with a focus to hire skilled trade workers(Heavy Equipment Technicians / Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics; Welders; Machinists; etc.). Our Technical Recruiter will effectively source, recommend, and influence successful hiring outcomes. This role directly impacts Toromont's business growth and is accountable to drive Recruiting KPI's for success.

A Typical Day @ Work:

 

  • Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy workplace behaviours at all times
  • Proactively source skilled trade workers through various strategies and initiatives to meet Toromont's annual recruiting goals; conduct pre-screens and behaviour based interviews.
  • Manage background checks and behavioural assessments to completion for hires.
  • Leverage our ATS (UKG / UltiPro) and other data tracking tools in a timely manner to capture and all recruiting activity for effective reporting.
  • Deliver a superior customer experience to all customers and stakeholders
  • Undertake other relevant assignments as required in support of the business


Requirements:

 

  • 3 - 5 years of experience recruiting for Heavy Equipment Mechanics / Technicians and related skilled trades (Heavy Equipment Dealership recruiting experience is an asset)
  • A post-secondary Degree / Diploma in Human Resources
  • Experience with UKG / Ultipro Recruiting module
  • A skilled trades license (421A; 310T is an asset)
  • Bilingual French / English is an asset
