Your Daily Contribution & Impact:
 

  • Coordinates and follows up on activities relative to customer deliveries and supplier pick-ups, according to schedules, customer service promises, needs of inside and outside sales employees. Maintain constant communication with drivers in transit, or with customers about the status of orders
  • Ensure efficient driving routes and assign deliveries to drivers based on location and priority
  • Schedule workforce in collaboration with Store Manager and coordinate the work of the drivers to reduce delay and meet time expectations
  • Distribute fleet vehicles, keys, company fuel cards, phones, record keeping forms and parts deliveries to drivers
  • Ensure drivers enter delivery times into delivery tracking system, if available, or onto manual sheets
  • Verify returns of customers' goods before credits are completed by the sales team, if applicable
  • Pick and pack orders and ensure orders are accurate and ready for delivery
  • Conduct/support daily, weekly, monthly inspections of trucks and scheduled maintenance in conjunction with Store Manager and ensures reporting of any accidents as required
  • Schedule vehicle repairs with local repair facilities and communicate vehicle issues to management


Expertise & Essential Skills:
 

  • 1 to 3 years' experience in related position
  • Valid driver's license and good record of conduct
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Lifting of heavy equipment of up to 50 pounds
