Responsibilities

The Opportunity 

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Director of Systems Architecture to lead our ADAS and sensor integration team. This role is critical to advancing our technological capabilities and ensuring the seamless integration of complex systems within our next-generation vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automotive systems, sensor technologies, and architectural design principles.

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision for ADAS and sensor integration, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
  • System Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of robust system architectures for ADAS, integrating various sensors (radar, LiDAR, cameras) and ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams, including hardware, software, and validation, to ensure cohesive development and integration of ADAS systems.
  • Innovation & R&D: Drive innovation in ADAS technologies, exploring new methodologies and tools to enhance system capabilities and performance.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that all milestones are met, and deliverables are of the highest quality.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all systems and processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring the delivery of high-quality components and services.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of systems architects and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.


Qualifications

The minimum requirements we seek
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded systems architecture, with a focus on automotive or related industry.
  • Proven track record of leadership in architecture design, with experience managing large-scale engineering teams and complex projects.
  • Expert in connected software-defined systems with safety critical use-cases.
  • Deep technical expertise in system design principles, including hardware/software integration, automotive communication protocols, and real-time operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of automotive industry trends, including electrification, connectivity, and autonomous driving.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, with a strong emphasis on iterative development and continuous improvement.


Our preferred requirements
 

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience in implementing embedded systems including for safety critical embedded systems.
  • Experience of embedded Linux, RTOS and related DevOps systems.
  • Demonstrated time in role leading a large multi-disciplined organization focused on delivering development efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills both up and down the organization to achieve the desired results.
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated examples of applying systemic thinking, logic and reasoning skills to be able to identify opportunities, alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
  • Organizational skill: Strong collaboration skills, clear and concise direction coupled with an ability to move within the organization to complete work and balance tradeoffs.
  • Strategic thinking: Demonstrated examples of driving strategy from concept through to production.
