To be eligible for the SECURE Summer Student Program, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid work permit.
- If you are selected for a role considered safety-sensitive, you will be required to successfully complete a Medical and/or Alcohol and drug test.
Students are also required to submit a cover letter and recent transcripts. The cover letter will address the following questions:
- Why do you want to work for SECURE?
- How does this position fit in with your current or long-term career goals?

Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy
As our Fleet Administrator - Summer Student you will be responsible for responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties supporting the Asset Management and the Transportation Compliance Team. The Asset team works closely with our operations group, maintaining a positive atmosphere and offering operational support to increase compliance among Secures Fleet of Vehicles.
This role is based out of Calgary, Alberta
The Team
The Asset Management team in the Calgary Blackfoot Office thrives on a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, working closely with the operations group to ensure fleet compliance and seamless operational support. With a Monday-to-Friday office-based schedule, this team values proactive communication, strong organizational skills, and a positive, professional approach to maintaining high standards in vehicle and equipment management.
A Day in The Life
- Audit of NSC Vehicle Files for compliance and required documentation.
- Collection Identification and collaboration with operations. Documentation collection and upload
- Maintain and distribute appropriate files, documents, and mail related to fleet and to internal responsible party.
- Support the fleet database, via Unit modifications, additions, and corrections to our fleet database.
- Photocopy, file and scan, as needed.
- Develop agendas, arrange meetings, record, and transcribe minutes, and maintain a record of outstanding action items.
- Distributing fleet related reports on regular scheduled routines
- Process and coordinate equipment transfers between groups.
Skills, Experience, & Qualifications
- Enrolment in a post-secondary office admin program
- Previous administrative experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience with Fleet Management software.
- Must be initiative-taking and able to function in a team environment.
- Microsoft applications as must have (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Teamwork: Collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with diverse teams.
- Initiative: Initiative-taking with a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Diligence: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Professionalism: Demonstrates responsibility, ethical conduct, and a positive image.
