What work you would have to do:
 

  • Troubleshoot and repair off and on-highway equipment.
  • Utilize Quickserve, ET, and other software daily,
  • Complete daily documentation (safety reports, work orders, part requests)
  • Work with Heavy Equipment Mechanical Supervisor, Leadhand, other technicians, and occasionally apprentices on various tasks as required.
  • Occasionally work outside and in remote locations.

  • Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Equipment Mechanic and/or
  • Red Seal Journeyman Truck and Coach Mechanic
  • Experience diagnosing, servicing, troubleshooting and repairing mobile and stationary equipment.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Extensive
  • experience diagnosing and troubleshooting aftertreatment systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and other such components.

Conditions of Employment
 

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Mechanic and/or Red Seal Journeyperson Truck and Coach Mechanic
  • Valid Class 5 Yukon Driver's Licence
  • Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • Valid Class 3 Yukon Driver's Licence with Air Brake Endorsement (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)|
