Scope: Our new shop in East Gwillimbury is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Service Supervisor to manage the required repairs for fleet trailers. If you are looking for the opportunity to set up and support this new operation, apply now!
What you'll do:
• Scheduling repairs with vendors and internal planning boards, foremen, and service management
• Identify work that requires outsourcing, and ensuring work is completed to specifications
• Manage shop equipment certification and required repair/replacement
• Triaging equipment upon arrival to confirm scope of work on repairs, updating if additional repairs are recommended
• Pre-ordering parts upon opening work orders using company software systems to provide part lead time requirements to supply chain
• Communicating and updating state and status of repairs throughout the stages of a repair as required
• Closing work orders
• Following Company SOPs, SWIs, and Work Flows to ensure processes are completed accurately, completely, and on time
• Adhering to Values of the Company at all times, to support an engaging and fulfilling corporate culture
• Review inventory reports and investigate discrepancies
• Communicate with Transport Operations Management and shunting service as required
What you'll need:
• Authority to sign motor vehicle inspection station documents
• Exceptional organizational skills
• System savviness (Excel), with the ability to learn new systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong technical knowledge of parts and shop workflow
