The Quality Supervisor is an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape. 

The Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a group of union represented employees and ensuring that process controls are in place to meet all corporate standards and for preventing the outflow of defects from the process. 

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for creating, implementing, and sustaining vehicle control plans to prevent the outflow of defects to the customer. 

The Quality Supervisor must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution of vehicle quality issues. The selected individual will have outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity. The candidate must have a proven track record for developing and executing standardization.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to
 

  • Ensuring all employees perform in a safe manner
  • Managing the vehicle validation and certification process
  • Managing in-line water test and off- line vehicle drive evaluations
  • Reviewing all critical issues from prior shift, conducting station walk-backs, and communicating to production
  • Verifying Error & Mistake Proofing (EMP) countermeasures are functioning
  • Analyzing quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure calibration
  • Assisting production with problem solving and developing standardized work for production operators, including boundary samples
  • Ensuring that vehicle receives the appropriate evaluations and that defects are routed correctly
  • Developing and monitoring internal quality metrics; communicating performance and corrective actions to appropriate team members
  • Planning, prioritizing, setting goals and managing multiple projects in a technical and business environment
  • Strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership
  • Establishing partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority
  • Representing the "Voice of the Customer" to the platform teams
  • Contributing or driving team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdles
  • Demonstrating unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements
  • Exhibiting a willingness to do things differently and consistently translating ideas into actions that deliver results and have a commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer

Basic Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required
  • Minimum TWO (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated planning/problem solving skills
  • Ability to work a flexible shift schedule/rotating schedule
  • Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software with strong knowledge of MS Office or Google Office
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize and translate data into visual charts/graphs etc.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to be flexible to carry out tasks 'outside' of normal roles and responsibilities
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada


Preferred Qualifications: 
 

  • Manufacturing / Assembly Plant experience
  • Minimum Two (2) years of quality related experience
  • Lead auditor certifications and practical experience
  • Supervisory experience of hourly personnel
  • Basic knowledge of statistics
  • Previous leadership experience is a plus
