Senior Specialist Vehicle Distribution
Richmond Hill, ON
The Senior Specialist Vehicle Distribution is a critical part of our Sales Operations team and plays a pivotal role in our success within Commercial Operations. This role will be responsible for managing the Central Stock distribution strategy along with analyzing and leading the coordination of our online digital retailing (DR) platform for Sales Operations. This will directly support our Electrification Strategy and our long-term plans for innovative vehicle sales. The Central Stock distribution model is an important evolving part of our business running in parallel with the traditional distribution model. The successful candidate will report to the National Sales Operations Manager and will be critical in growing sales, increasing VCCL profitability, while balancing and advocating for the best retailer and customer experience.
What you'll do
Primary Responsibilities
• Manages the overall operations of the Central Stock distribution model
• Provide analysis & manage full program coordination / implementation on the below:
o Digital Retail (DR) orders and corresponding production, mix, and options.
o DR consumer trends (sales trends, cancellation rates, refund reasons, speed of sale, take rates) and action upon insights to realize incremental opportunities
o DR online account creation to online deposit completion to gain insights to further increase percentage of online deposit completions
• Lead on executing orders for Central Stock distribution models in VISTA in alignment with established mix and rates
• Lead on executing retailer orders between DR platform (MotoInsight) and VISTA and manage DR online deposits and allocation for Central Stock models
• DR (MotoInsight) lead for Sales Operations in collaboration with Digital Retail team to ensure alignment of online processes for the best retailer and customer experience
• Lead on transport co-ordination for Central Stock models involving Outbound Logistics (OBL), rail carrier, and trucking carrier
• Inventory management of Central Stock 2.0 models which includes supporting National Sales Operations Manager with sales planning volume forecasts and ensuring retailer share compliance
• Manage compliance of One Price Promise (OPP) for our Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) by performing audit (governance) checks and ensuring the OPP handbook and retailer communications are continuously updated and relevant. This is a critical part of our BEV electrification strategy to ensure the integrity of OPP. If there are issues with a retailer's compliance, send out follow-ups and violations that could result in retailers losing margins and allocation.
• Regular meetings with other departments and vendors to help improve efficiencies, productivity and explore areas of business opportunities and improvements
• Provide reporting updates to various departments as requested and presenting monthly Central Stock outlook, deposit pace, and refund updates to internal stakeholders
Secondary Responsibilities
• Supports the operations of the traditional distribution model as required
• Other duties and projects as assigned
What you'll bring
Key Competencies / Abilities:
• Minimum 5-7 years in Sales operations (ideally in a distribution or sales planning role). Candidates with extensive experience in operations of process focused industries will be considered.
• Vast knowledge of and experience with the automotive sales industry
• In depth understanding of the manufacturing, allocation, distribution, and logistics of vehicles
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, including Power BI, strong Excel and PowerPoint abilities, knowledge of pivot tables, look-ups and other advanced Excel functions
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-motivated, driven, process-orientated and very curious
• Analytical minded with a creative can-do and make it happen personality
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to fast paced work environment
• Ability to collaborate with all business units throughout the company along with external vendors
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate insights and new strategies with various stakeholders. French speaking is an asset, but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year college or university is an asset, but not required
