Job Description
We are looking for a talented Field service diesel technician to join our Distribution business in Hinton, Alberta.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Engages with customer in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
- Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
- Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
- Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets and warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislations. supervisor.
Responsibilities
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Heavy duty Red seal certification- OFF road is mandatory for this role. - Valid driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract
Experience:
- Basic level field service work experience
- Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
- Customer service experience
- Mining experience
- HHP experience (19L and above)
- Oil & Gas and Heavy Duty experience is mandatory
- Power Generation experience an asset
(Intermediate):
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
About the role:
- Safety Sensitive Position
- Mainly working on mining equipment, oil and gas Frac equipment. Some On highway and industrial work as well.
- 7 days on 7 days off, potential for night shift as job scope dictates and potential for on call-
- 12-hour shifts
A 5000$ sign on bonus is available for this role
