Job Description

Job Title: Power BI Developer (Automotive Industry)

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Develop & Maintain Reports: Create, update, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards within Microsoft Fabric to support internal stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver clear, visually compelling dashboards.
  • Automotive Data Insights: Collaborate with product and operational teams to interpret and analyze automotive data, ensuring accuracy and relevance of metrics.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously refine reporting processes and data models to improve efficiency, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaboration & Support: Provide training and support to end-users to help them understand and utilize Power BI dashboards effectively.
  • Data Integrity & Auditing: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all reports by regularly auditing dashboards, verifying data against source systems, and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
  • Best Practices & Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations.


Qualifications & Skills
 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with Microsoft Power BI, including creating data models, DAX calculations, and advanced visualizations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including Power BI, DAX, Python or other relevant services. Knowledge of Google analytics is a plus.
  • Automotive Industry Experience: Familiarity with automotive industry metrics and dealership operations is preferred but not required.
  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets to drive business decisions.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
