Position: Jr. Service Advisor

Location: Whitby, Ontario 

Classification: Full time, Ontsite, **Immediate Vacancy**
Salary: $20.00 per hour

Your area of focus.

A Jr Service Advisor with be esponsible for assisting customers with their vehicle service needs, oil changes and tire changes, and other automotive needs. They act as a liaison between customers and technicians, explaining recommended repairs, gathering vehicle information, and providing cost estimates. Junior Service Advisors help schedule appointments, ensure customer satisfaction, and manage service records. They typically assist senior advisors and service managers in the day-to-day operations, learning to communicate effectively, handle customer concerns, and stay informed about automotive services and product offerings. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.

What drives your day-to-day?

 

  • Estimating the cost and time needed for a list of repairs suitable for a Jr. Advisor
  • Welcoming customers and discussing their needs
  • Answering customer inquiries, either in person or on the phone
  • Develop repair estimates by taking the cost of materials, supplies, and labor into consideration.
  • Prepare repair orders by detailing the vehicle's problems or symptoms.
  • Connecting customers to the right auto technician
  • Test-driving vehicles to confirm the customers' vehicle is repaired as needed.
  • Maintaining automotive records by keeping track of problems and corrective actions


What are the must-haves...

 

  • Some experience in a dealership service department is considered an asset.
  • CDK experience is an asset
  • Some automotive knowledge
  • Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Ability to set and achieve targeted goals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with many priorities
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to remain calm when customers and/or situations are not
  • Organization and follow-up skills
  • Experience and desire to work with technology
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Bilingual language skills preferred (French and English, as this role may be required to communicate in French and English)
