The Opportunity:
This Inside Sales Representative role will be focused on three pillars: support, retention, and growth of retail fleet customers. More specifically, this role will focus on the following in priority sequence:
- Support customers through periods of change (e.g., card reissuances and or migration of customers to enhanced offers and systems)
- Grow the retail fleet business channel by expanding business with current customers and acquiring new customers.
- Retain current retail fleet customers. Building on the above support pillar, assist customers through change and establish relationships with a larger % of our current customer base to maximize volume and margin.
This role will functionally engage with existing sales teams (commercial outside sales and key account managers), the Parkland customer experience team and internal stakeholders. The goal will be to ensure that customer needs are met and we are collectively growing the fleet business.
Responsibilities:
Customer Retention
- Perform customer outreach to support/align with key customer initiatives:
- Card activation support
- Card inactivity
- New product/service introduction etc.
- Manage customer relationships to protect existing business and avoid volume degradation.
Sales Growth
- Prospect sales leads and cross-selling opportunities through:
- Mining existing customer portfolios - priority.
- Actioning outside sales team leads and fleet leads submitted by site operators.
- Performing online searches and collecting competitive and industry intelligence.
- Meet and exceed new customer sales objectives.
- Follow up on leads / qualified opportunities and internal stakeholders to close the sale and ensure a smooth customer onboarding experience.
Admin & Support
- Manage sales opportunities in Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management software), update system with progress and
- Pass on leads over a pre-determined annual volume range to the Commercial Outside Sales team and support them as needed to qualify opportunities and close sales.
- Generate and review reports to measure ongoing progress towards objective.
- Track, measure retention campaigns.
- Escalate customer friction points to appropriate internal channels.
Requirements:
- A motivated self -starter, with good organizational skills
- Ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers and co-workers
- Strong computer skills
- Previous sales/retention experience
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with CRM systems particularly Salesforce an asset
- French language skills are an asset
