The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement, Corporate Services Branch is seeking a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills as a Purchase Card/ Fleet Card Administrator to manage the cardholder programs for the ministry.

The successful candidate will maintain user profiles, spreadsheets and cardholder files and monitor card transactions to ensure they are reconciled and approved within policy. You will maintain communication with cardholders, approvers, drivers, vehicle coordinators, internal and external auditors, the Program Administrator with the Ministry of Finance and the program's service provider. Your problem-solving skills will be required in order to resolve issues, and problems that occur daily. You will train new cardholders to ensure they receive information and understand card limits, policies, and practices required by the program.

You will be responsible for accurately referencing, applying and clearly explaining relevant and applicable policies, procedures and issues to both internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of g overnment purchasing and payment practices; and b asic accounting/financial procedures and practices including delegation of authority documentation and segregation of duties requirements.

The successful candidate will have the ability to v erbally and in writing provide clear, concise and timely information in response to often complex inquiries at a level appropriate to the audience; and clearly facilitate training sessions and presentations in and or meetings in order to share information and enhance others' knowledge on program policy and procedures. You will also be able to accurately reference, apply and clearly explain relevant and applicable policies, procedures and issues to staff, clients and coworkers; and identify, clarify and analyze relevant issues, concerns or problems in order to provide options/recommendations and or to implement solutions. You will be able to liaise with other agencies, staff and ministries, where possibly upset, to obtain, exchange, coordinate or confirm information; and work independently and or as a contributing member of a variety of teams to complete work assignments, achieve common goals and contribute towards a positive work environment. You will also be able to independently assess, establish, adjust and accurately complete multiple tasks while taking into consideration task complexity, frequent interruptions, deadlines, available resources and multiple reporting relationships; properly create, format and edit a variety of clear and presentable documents using a variety of software, such as word processors, databases and spreadsheet software; and accurately perform mathematical calculations.

To qualify for this position, interested applicants should be able to demonstrate their public speaking skills and possess proven written and oral communication skills.

Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be gained through Office management and/or Accounting education with a good appreciation of accounts payable standards and operations and or related progressive work experience in an administrative environment.
