Job Description
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: - Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite at a GM MEC facility on an average of three (3) days each week.

The Role:
The successful candidate for this 8-month co-op will have a project-driven, financially impactful role within a corporate finance team that oversees local parts manufacturing and automotive part sales. The candidate needs to be a self-starter, intellectually curious, and passionate about innovation. This is a hybrid role and will require some onsite travel (to Markham, ON or Oshawa, ON)
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and visualize parts movement and inventory data into management tool(s) and dashboard(s) for senior leadership decision-making
- Oversee and optimize customer invoice claims process and dataset to find cost-savings opportunities
- Business case development and cost-savings project management
- Support parts pricing activities such as cost analysis, price change implementation
- Opportunity to tour various sales, warehouse, and manufacturing operations sites
- Opportunity to present and advise GM Canada senior leadership
Required Qualifications / Skills
- At least 2 years of post-secondary education in business, finance, statistics, commerce, management, engineering, or similar
- Eligible for 8-month co-op term
- Self-starter, intellectual curiosity, results-oriented, passion for innovation
- Highly proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word)
- Interest or Experience in Big Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Database Management, and System Management (ex. Python, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Problem solving and Project management skills
- Preferred G2 or G license
