Mechanic 310T

The 310T Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment, ensuring all vehicles operate safely and efficiently. This role requires diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. The mechanic will also manage tools, supplies, and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Perform routine diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty equipment using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
• Inspect and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct major repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical, and fuel systems as required.
• Operate and test equipment both onsite and in the field to ensure performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Create and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to optimize equipment lifespan.
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication, brake inspections, and tire replacements as needed.
• Accurately enter work orders and ensure replacement parts are ordered in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed service and repair reports.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills
 

• 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certification (in good standing).
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a licensed 310T Mechanic in a heavy-duty or construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Must own personal tools required for the job.
• Valid G or DZ driver's license (AZ license considered an asset).
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
