Job Description

We are looking for a talented onsite Parts Professional to join our team specializing in logistics for our Branch in Kamloops, BC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
 

  • Under some supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch parts in the local branch, checking for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
  • Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
  • Operate forklift and other warehouse machinery to pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
  • Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.


Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
 

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • Requires Cummins provided certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and ability to learn new systems required to do the job effectively.
  • Prior parts in Heavy Duty/On Highway experience required, HHP experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner in person, over the phone and via email communications.
  • Please note, this is a first shift position, the hours are 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Experience working in a Union environment preferred.


Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications
 

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • ITA Certificate Red Seal - Parts Person preferred.
