Description du poste

We are looking for a Cell Materials Engineering Technician for a cross functional Cell Engineering team to perform chemical analysis, materials characterization and support battery materials R&D and various Engineering projects. Candidates should have experience working in chemistry lab environment, operating chemical analysis and materials characterization instruments, coin cell fabrication and coin cell testing. The primary responsibilities will be to prepare chemical and material samples, operate analysis instruments, build coin cells and 3-electrode cells, and keep good record of the data.

Responsibilities
 

  • Conduct physical and chemical property measurement of cell active materials and report the data
  • Build two electrode and three electrode coin cell and pouch cell to evaluate materials electrochemical performance
  • Keep accurate records of the dissection and cell builds in an organized and timely manner
  • Help with manual tasks around the lab such as cleaning the cell parts, organizing lab benches and supplies, and general equipment maintenance
  • Communicate any issues and help find the solutions to Engineers


Requirements
 

  • Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or similar or equivalent experience
  • Above average manual dexterity and visual acuity are required to perform delicate assembly tasks
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office
  • Good communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals
  • Experience working with Li-ion battery active materials is preferred
  • Experience using glove box, building coin cells and/or battery cyclers is preferred
