We are currently hiring a Senior Automotive Service Advisor at our Nanaimo Automotive Service Centre.
Please note that this is an on-site role based out of our Nanaimo Auto Service Centre. Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Nanaimo ASC or are not looking to relocate to the region will not be considered.
As a Senior Automotive Service Advisor, you'll be the face of our Service Centre-responsible for building trusted customer relationships, ensuring service excellence, and helping guide the front counter team. Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll support daily operations, recommend preventative services, and lead by example in delivering high-quality customer experiences that drive BCAA's reputation for automotive trust and performance.

What you'll do:
- Greet and check in customers, manage appointments, and provide estimates and repair recommendations that align with customer needs and budget.
- Educate customers on repair and maintenance requirements, finalize sales, and conduct follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain high service quality and customer satisfaction, meeting or exceeding performance targets including NPS and CSI.
- Serve as a front counter leader-resolving customer escalations, supporting fellow Service Advisors, and coaching the team to meet sales and customer experience goals.
- Collaborate with Technicians to provide accurate repair information and maintain strong internal communication.
- Oversee the flow of parts in and out of the location, including inventory control and monthly counts.
- Perform shipper/receiver duties and ensure the proper handling and cleanliness of all incoming parts.
- Support shift opening/closing duties and ensure compliance with BCAA policies and procedures.
- Promote and contribute to a strong team safety culture, enforcing PPE use and participating in safety meetings.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, systems knowledge, and product training to provide informed service.
What you bring:
- Completion of Grade 12 and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Automotive Parts Advisor, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of performance in customer service, sales, and average repair order results (NPS/CSI targets).
- Strong customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to lead and coach a front-line service team and share process knowledge effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends as needed.

The salary range for this position is $49,954.92 to $62,443.68 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 9%, with the opportunity to earn up to 15%.
