JOB SUMMARY

The Fleet Supply Chain and Operational Support Branch provides fuel and automotive and general stores services, provides operational support related to all fleet management programs, ensures M5/FleetFocus (Fleet Management Information System) is aligned to and provides the information needed to enable fleet operations and decisions. 

You are responsible for the development, on-going review, monitoring, analysis, maintenance, and reporting of all Fleet Management Information systems. You will ensure data integrity and compliance, resolve problems, and provide technical support for the maintenance of the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) and fuel systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 4 year university degree in Computer Science, Trades/Technology Leadership, or related

Minimum of 3 years of related experience in technology and trades

KNOWLEDGE

 

  • Fleet operations in a multi business line service;
  • GPS systems and associated interfaces;
  • Business analysis practices, techniques and report writing
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, graphics, word processing and data retrieval applications
  • Information systems administration/implementation processes
  • Client/server computer technology
  • Project management and techniques
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.


COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Team player able to work in a multi-service, multi-disciplinary enviroment;
  • Research, identify and analyze operational, and performance data,
  • Identify issues and problems, develop practical solutions to problems
  • Develop operational, performance models using various software (Microsoft Office 365 PowerApps)
  • Use information systems tools to support business functions
  • Reporting writing skills to assist in creatinging operational reports and dashboards to ensure data integrity
  • Work under minimum supervision and meet tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Organized, thorough, reliable and demonstrates initiative
  • Exercise judgment, tact, and discretion

  • Language Requirement: English oral, reading, writing
  • Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
